Gardeners in Putney
Putney, from the river and Putney Bridge up to Putney Heath and across to West Hill, is about six miles south-east of our base. The Victorian and Edwardian family houses here have proper gardens, and the streets near the Heath have some very big ones.
Gardens in Putney
Terraces near the river have long, narrow gardens with a lawn, borders and a shed; the houses toward Putney Heath and West Hill have wide plots with mature trees, hedges and lawns that need a programme. There are also many mansion flats with communal gardens on the Upper Richmond Road.
